More Than a Moment: Students on Faith, Friendship, and Jesus

Liam O’Neal: I feel more confident because of whatever I’m doing, I know He’s on my side no matter what.

Sam Iglesias: I’m more holy and reflective of Jesus Christ everywhere I go.

Ben Iglesias: Because of Jesus, my life is different by not having something that is weighing my down like a boulder.

Hadley Kate Doran: I feel safe and I know I’m forgiven.

Vivian Havard: I can feel Him guiding me, and I am experiencing reassurance of my salvation.

Everett Gillette: He helps me with so many problems. I can pray and talk to Him about it and know He’ll hear me and not judge me.

Caz Franks: He has definitely helped me a lot, particularly after my uncle passed away. He has really helped me with so many differences I’ve had with friends and family.
Liam O’Neal: It made me realize the importance of being a part of the church.

Sam Iglesias: Confirmation has allowed me to have deep conversations about Jesus with my peers, and it showed me that there are other kids out there that are like me spiritually.

Ben Iglesias: Confirmation has strengthened my relationship with God by giving me a better relationship with God. I feel like I have been closer to God since Confirmation.

Hadley Kate Doran: The involvement and connection to the church during Confirmation increased my faith.

Vivian Havard: I felt more connected because of what we learned. I know in Confirmation everyone is there for the same reason.

Everett Gillette: It really encouraged me to read my Bible more and pray. I’ve learned not to hide my problems but give them to God.
Laim O’Neal: Unite is really fun because I can learn about Jesus and have a fun time with my friends.

Sam Iglesias: Unite is very energizing, especially on big game nights. It’s fun but focuses on Jesus too.

Ben Iglesias: The hype around Unite is so cool. I love worship and the time that we spend with God.

Hadley Kate Doran: Making Christian friends, meeting people, and desiring a deeper relationship with Jesus together.

Vivian Havard: Hanging out with friends while learning about Jesus and His mission is a great combination.

Everett Gillette: I enjoy Unite because people there have common interest with me - Jesus.

Caz Franks: It’s a great environment to be around! No one tries to knock anyone down; everyone is there to pursue Jesus and hangout.
Liam O’Neal: My family loves me well.

Sam Iglesias: No one in the history of the world can ever love me like Jesus can, but some people that love me are my family and close friends.

Ben Iglesias: I think my friends and famiy loves me like Jesus. Everybody at the church loves me like Jesus.

Hadley Kate Doran: My friends and all of my family.

Vivian Havard: Of course, my friends and family, but Marvin does this as a church as I always feel safe here.

Everette Gillette: I don’t think anyone because God created me and the entire world. No one can top that. But my family and extremely close friends love me for who I am, want what’s best for me, and truly want me to be happy.

Caz Franks: No one can love me exactly like Jesus loves me, but my parents and family have been striving to give me that same love.
Sam Iglesias: D-now was different in the sense that other people in Tyler and even the band were showing their hospitality towards us, and that really encouraged me about our faith in Tyler!

Ben Iglesias: I loved having the time alone with God. I love just reading the Bible in the time that we can be alone with Him. Also, the worship time was amazing along with all the leaders and the food! I will definitely be coming back.

Everett Gillette: D-now helped me realize that even though other people may think I’m weird, it doesn’t matter; God still loves me and thinks I’m wonderfully made.

Caz Franks: I took away that it’s great to hang out and get to know others you don’t know. There’s always someone who has a similar situation than you, and you find out that they can speak truth to your issue and help you through it.

Marvin Kids: Little Voices, Big Faith

Sam Jennings: All my family was there, and it was extra special because it was on Christmas Eve. I got to celebrate Christ Jesus the day before his birthday. I took a quick in and out of the water and everyone cheered and prayed over me. I wanted to tell everybody about my faith in Jesus.
