Service: Following Jesus into a Life of Service

February 8, 2022

The Romans of Jesus’ time on earth had an expression: “There is nothing more useful than sun and salt.”  How appropriate then that Jesus would refer to His disciples as the “salt of the earth and the light of the world.”  In this message, listeners will learn of the importance of salt’s purity and its use for preservation.  Jesus calls his followers to preserve the world from the decay of sin and be a reflection of His true light that others may see our good works and glorify our Father in Heaven. Sermon text: Matthew 5:13-16
