SANCTUARY: The Thanksgiving Binge

To “binge” means to engage excessively in an activity such as eating, drinking, drug use, or in today’s world, watch extended hours of your favorite streamed television show.  During this Thanksgiving week, let’s “binge” on thanksgiving to God and others.  After a “breath prayer” exercise for Thanksgiving week, the message explains the practical value of gratitude: bringing people back to the present and thanking God for many wonderful things, including the amazingly created world, the human body, and the spiritual life.  As God has created an amazing sustainable ecosystem, the work of God through Christ, also gives us renewable spiritual world.  Some obstacles to gratitude are mentioned along with some fresh ideas to “jumpstart” one’s Thanksgiving binge.
