SANCTUARY: I Like Giving Because It Stores Up Treasures in Heaven

Behind the great movements of God (Jesus and His earthly ministry, Paul and his missionary journeys, and William Tyndale’s translating of the Bible into English) there have been financial supporters or patrons who quietly supported those doing the work.  What do all of these individuals have in common?  They like storing up for themselves treasures in heaven.  When we invest in God’s Kingdom, we are often investing in the “long-game” rather than seeking short-term satisfaction.  We are also investing in the spiritual lives of people.  This sermon accompanied Marvin’s annual stewardship campaign.
