SANCTUARY: God's Image Bearer

July 19, 2022

The creation stories of Genesis speak of human beings being made in the image of God, in God’s likeness.  What is referred to as the Imago Dei is most often understood as having the following characteristics of God: being spiritual beings, having a rational mind that can think, solve problems and be creative, and thirdly, to be moral beings.  As the church goes through a time of discernment regarding its beliefs on human sexuality, this message challenges the Marvin community to apply their Imago Dei characteristics.
