SANCTUARY | Putting the Resolute in Resolution: Identifying the Unconverted Places

January 24, 2023

It was said of Oxford professor, author, and theologian, C.S. Lewis, that he was “the most thoroughly converted man” that the person making the comment had ever known.  In this passage of Scripture, we get a glimpse into the heart of the Apostle Paul who though converted by Christ, still had some “holdout” sins in his life that caused him to describe himself as unspiritual and a slave to sin.  As Methodists, we believe in sanctification and “being made perfect” in love.  Even though your ambition made not be to be the most thoroughly converted, how about partnering with the Holy Spirit to become more converted or even more saved as you allow Christ to deliver you from the unconverted holes in your heart.Sermon text: Romans 7: 14-25
