GET UPDATES FOR THE WEEK

VBS begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at noon Monday through Thursday.

You will check in with our Kid Check system in Pirtle Hall as you enter the main entrance on Elm Street. 

You will receive your child’s name badge with a “Guardian Receipt” sticker. After checking in your child, walk them to their drop off spot where they will be at the beginning and end of each day and check in with their crew guide. EVERY CHILD MUST BE CHECKED IN AND OUT AT THEIR DROP OFF SPOT WITH THEIR CREW GUIDE EACH DAY. 

If you need to drop off your child late, please let us know at welovemarvinkids@gmail.com. The weekend before VBS, you will receive a call or text from your child’s crew guide with other important information for the week ahead.

To pick up your child, check them out in Pirtle Hall and head to the drop off spot to check them out with their crew guide by showing them your “Guardian Receipt” sticker. YOU MUST PRESENT YOUR STICKER TO RECEIVE YOUR CHILD (a photo is also acceptable if someone is picking up your child other than you). EVERY CHILD MUST BE CHECKED IN AND OUT AT THEIR DROP OFF SPOT WITH THEIR CREW GUIDE EACH DAY.

VBS is a blast! Each day your child will learn about God in exciting and age appropriate ways with crafts, games, snacks, music, and Bible stories. They will experience the love of Jesus from our Ministry Safe trained adults and students that will encourage them and lead them for the week.

Marvin Methodist Church requires all our volunteers (staff, adults, and students) to be certified through Ministry Safe with annual background checks and safety training. Keeping our kids safe and showing them God’s love are our highest priorities!

Your child will wear their VBS shirt they receive on their first day at check in. Tennis shoes and a great attitude are always good to have too. Please leave electronics at home.

Your child will have prepackaged snacks and bottled water each day. If your child has dietary restrictions or allergies, please note that in your registration and we will do our best to accommodate those needs. If you feel best about bringing your own snack, please feel free to bring a labeled snack for them to eat at their snack rotation.

We would love to have parents of participants join us. We do require all volunteers to be Ministry Safe certified and attend our mandatory training. We also partner our guest volunteers with Marvin members. We’d love to have you! If you are interested in volunteering, click HERE.
